Description

Set in a fictitious land during a medieval-like era of magic and fantasy, Tears to Tiara unfolds with the Divine Empire's rise to power as it conquers and rules lands far and wide. On the island of Erin, still ruled by the Ancient Kingdom, the Goidelic people are attempting to sacrifice priestess Riannon to revive protagonist and demon king Arawn to lead the resistance against the Empire. Although the ritual fails and Riannon survives, the seal imprisoning the demon king is broken and Arawn is resurrected. Armed with mysterious and devastating powers and a human's demeanor, Arawn joins Riannon, her brother and battalion commander, Arthur, as well as their team of fighters comprising a swordsman, an archer and a quintet of magical pixies, in the epic struggle against the Divine Empire.

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 26)

Ah yes! Good end. Expected, but definitely feel fine about it. Clarity with most of the previous fuzzy spots in the backstory, so quite pleased. :)

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 25)

Pretty awesome stuff. Although I don't get the one White guy, but some things are clearer. Suppose I know how it should close, but one more to go!

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 24)

Going somewhere, a bit. Nice action resolution for sure, so... yes, good episode, although the 'grand scheme' is still a bit wtf. More to come.

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 23)

lol, that was kinda just whatever. I can understand why @natsuneko held there. I must continue, even though it seems to be decomposing. Sibling Teamwork!

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 22)

Alright, well the backstory is good and all, but it's like... so jamming up the present storyline. Feels like a lot of shit happened in the past that wasn't even mentioned, lol.

RyanA watching Tears To Tiara (episode 22)

Now I'm seeing why this is confusing like @natsuneko mentions. There is some gaps which are just kinda lost... ::angry Felli face::

RyanA watching Tears To Tiara (episode 22)

moar backstory, holy shit, it's a lot to pack in... I don't see why this exposition was not interleaved into the plot thus far :/

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 21)

That was kinda weird, likely because of being so straightforward. Good episode, but sort of clunky in the last half. History repeats itself.

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 20)

Crazy ancient story about information shared. Quaint.... The 13th is such a moron. Good to see Ogam though hehe.

RyanA watched Tears To Tiara (episode 19)

Hm, I guess. Apple pie was lulz.

RyanA watching Tears To Tiara (episode 19)

POKEMON!

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 23)

Now I am reminded of an RPG, where the group split and needs to find their way up the tower. Dunno, not much substance in this episode? Or am I simply too tired to think right now?

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 22)

The long awaited Sword in the Stone reference. Dunno. The way Arawn and Pwyll became friends seemed a little superficial to me. It was scarcely exposed, too. Feels incomplete, especially so late in the series... Final battle now?

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 21)

Well it actually did, because Taliesin sacrificed himself, but still... the timing in the story is really off. What is the point of this all? Writing hiccup? Because there are still 11 other spirits to take care of.... no? We don't know anything.

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 21)

Actually, it's not even the events I am puzzled at, they do make sense in a way. But why does this all happen now? 5 episodes left, and only now are we taken back into the past, only to learn stuff that won't change the present anyway.

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 21)

After watching this episode, I can affirm that I have absolutely no clue. All I know is that it was pretty saddening and emotional, and that I am indeed teary-eyed, very surprisingly so.

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 20)

Discontent with this turn of events, the Spirits decided to seal him away, labeling him a Demon God?... Suddenly, it makes sense. Yet... It's still weird. Too many doubts I can't really put my finger on, yet - need to watch moar.

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 20)

This shows well how ignorant Lucifer has been (made), and Myrddin's only way to make him understand was to sacrifice himself. So perhaps Lucifer, later Arawn, would take over his legacy to helping the prosperity of mankind?

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 20)

Flashback ep that came out of nowhere. And I must say, I am pretty confused. Or perhaps it's just the similarity to Evangelion I felt when I saw the spirit avatars in the beginning? In either case, this is still cryptic.

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 19)

By the way, how was he able to see anything in those caves? He had no torch. And it could not have been scattered light either. -_-

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 19)

The cooling off ep in-between arcs, huh. Taliesin and Epona, a story which might never happen. Because Taliesin is now being swayed by Lucifer I mean, one of the spirits. Rushing his fate, huh? That baby dragon was ridiculous though.

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 18)

Great arc ending, although this once confirms my position that it was a wasteful battle. "Couldn't we have taken a different path altogether?" It was up to you, Gaius. You chose greed, you died. In the end, you were only all talk.

natsuneko watching Tears to Tiara (episode 18)

I seriously yelled out a loud "SHIT" just now. This can't be happening. Octavia........... SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT NO SHIT SHIT SHIT

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 17)

Reminds me of yesterday's Basquash!... Friend and Foe have the same goals, yet why must they fight? Especially in Gaius' case, only pride seems to be his driving force. Hasn't he realized how futile and wasteful these sacrifices are?

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 16)

The usual "what are you fighting for" episode. Wasn't bad, but I tire of those simplistic epiphanies. Well, I can't expect Arthur to develop his thinking, though. Octavia and Morgan rock! And Ogam could make a wonderful enemy in a Godzilla spinoff.

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 15)

The foolishness of revenge. So Arawn was a spirit after all. Yet, there must've been a reason why he killed Arthur's father - or did he? Feels as if he's willingly taking the blame for smth he never did. The burden of being an outcast spirit

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 14)

Some visible design hiccups here, I found fault mainly with shadows. Anyway, interesting development. That fresco somewhat felt like a biblical reference, 12 Apostles and so. Is Arawn perhaps the 13th; the failure, traitor, Judas? Perhaps Arthur foun

natsuneko watching Tears to Tiara (episode 14)

More like, unusually well detailed, or simply wrinkly. Shadows look weird.

natsuneko watching Tears to Tiara (episode 14)

Eh, the design is a little off. I already thought Arawn's face was a little weird, but now, Gaius' face is even weirder. ??

natsuneko watched Tears to Tiara (episode 13)

AHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA Taliesin the loli-fairycon! That was hilarious. Man, great stuff here. Arthur sure is impulsive and simple-minded, but that's what gets easily through to the enemy.
